THE RETURN OF THE STORKS
The “The Return of the Storks” is a heart-warming show and one of the most loved TV series of the past decade. The premiere episode of The Return of the Storks was watched by 2.6 million people. This series became part of Serbian pop culture, with lines from the series becoming part of everyday speech. It should come as no surprise that even the soundtrack of the show enjoys huge popularity.
The protagonists of the series, Schwaba and Ekser, survive numerous difficulties in a country in transition, by “hustling” goods of dubious origin. As soon as they part, with the decision to move out of the country, Schwaba inherits a house and land in Baranda near Belgrade. In order to repay a debt to a local criminal, Schwaba agrees to open a tavern and a brothel in the inherited house, thus eliciting the hatred of the villagers.
A series of unforeseen circumstances creates friendships and unbreakable relationships in places where nobody would imagine. Hope and love will return to the lives of the residents of Baranda.
And so will the Storks, known for their loyalty and faithfulness. The acting team, under the direction of Goran Gajic, consists of Nikola Djuricko, Dragan Bjelogrlic, Srdjan Todorovic, Mirjana Karanovic, Mira Banjac and Branimir Brstina.
