The story of a family and the meaning of a given word has become a regional and international phenomenon: Besa, one of our most successful series, has also become our largest export product as well as the only domestic series that had an adaptation for the Arabic-speaking area with more than 400 million viewers. The long-awaited filming of the second season has started in Montenegro.
From Telekom Srbija and the production companies Adrenalin and Red Planet Pictures, the sequel of the hit series BESA will premier next year. The filming of the second season, which will be broadcast on the Superstar TV channel, has begun in Montenegro, in accordance with all epidemiological measures.
Following the great success of the first season, the well-tuned team with the authors’ team and cast returned to the famous locations in Montenegro where the first scenes are being filmed. The popular thriller drama, which kept the audience chained to the screen, is based on the original idea of Srdjan Shaper. The expert jury named it the best series at the FEDIS festival.
“This is a special series for us because our Superstar TV channel was launched with its first season. “Besa” marked the end of 2018. During its broadcast, Superstar positioned itself among the ten most-watched channels, where it has remained until the present day. “We are confident that with the new season of “Besa” and also with other top production series, we will hold that position for a very long time,” said Vladimir Lucic, coordinator for Internet and multimedia at Telekom Srbija Group.
“Filming of Besa has already started in Montenegro and after the New Year’s holidays, the team will continue to work in Belgrade. Envisioned even more ambitiously than the first one, the second season of “BESA” series will be filmed outside the borders of our region”, states Tea Korolija, Managing Director at Adrenalin, and reveals that “one of the main motives and plot of the second season presents the conflict of modern and traditional. ” A new time is emerging and new generations that don’t care too much about tradition and a given word. ”
In addition to Rasa Bukvic, Milos Timotijevic, Arben Bajraktaraj, Hana Selimovic, Milica Gojkovic, Milan Maric, starring in the new 10 sequels, the audience will have the opportunity to meet some new characters. Among the new actors, the favorites are Florist Bajgora and Ervin Bejleri, who will surely win over the audience. The creators of the second season of the BESA series are Tony Jordan, the popular British screenwriter, and Igor Stoimenov. The screenwriters are Igor Stoimenov, Mladen Maticevic, and Vuk Rsumovic. Several directors are planned, and Nikola Ljuca is the director of the storyline being shot in Montenegro. Music will, again, be composed by the renowned composer Nemanja Mosurovic.
The first season had a dramatic ending, raising the question of whether Uros Peric is ready to save his family and kill inspector Petrit Koci. The second season of the “Besa” series will be broadcast next year on the Superstar TV channel, which can be watched by users of mts TV, cable operator Supernova, and satellite television m: SAT TV, as well as users in the region via m: tel CG and BiH and around the world via GO4TV.
