Adrenalin production company, in collaboration with Telekom Serbia, has started filming a new series titled “Biće novih leta” (There will be new summers), which combines elements of comedy, drama, and dark humor, offering viewers a unique television experience.
Inspired by a true event from Banja Luka, this series follows a group of people who, faced with financial challenges, spend ten days “trapped” in an apartment, pretending they are on vacation. This unusual situation raises questions about the characters, their motives, and their relationships, making the series engaging and dynamic from the first to the last episode.
The series is directed by Gvozden Đurić, one of the most esteemed authors from this region, known for his work on award-winning films and series such as “Vrata do vrata” (Door to door), “Kljun” (Beak), the second season of “Mama i tata se igraju rata” (Mom and dad are playing war), and the film “Andadasi.” Đurić brings his recognizable mix of tension and humor, while the script, inspired by real life, promises to draw viewers into the story from the very beginning.
The cast that will take on the roles of the unusual protagonists includes Zlatan Vidović, Olga Odanović, Tamara Krcunović, Mladen Lero, Anđela Kribl, Vahid Džanković, Stefan Vukić, Isidora Vlček, Dubravka Kovjanić, and Filip Gajić.
“We prepared extensively for filming through acting workshops, read-throughs, and language coaching. We received various guidelines on which films to watch, which music to listen to, and it’s truly a great approach that every serious project should have, which is certainly the case with ‘Biće novih leta,'” stated actor Zlatan Vidović.
Actress Olga Odanović, who plays the role of grandma Branka, believes that the story of this series will be “exciting and beautiful,” and that the audience will be pleasantly surprised.
“The biggest impression is the story itself, very unexpected — I haven’t read anything like this before. It’s very interesting, as are the characters that appear. For me, as an actress, it’s like this: if something appeals to you on the first read, that’s it.”
“In a sea of series and films being made now, mostly with heavy themes, dramas, and genres like thrillers and action, I miss family comedies. The world Gvozden Đurić has imagined is wonderful,” said actress Tamara Krcunović.
The producers of the series “Biće novih leta” are the aforementioned Gvozden Đurić and Uroš Tomić, who graduated in Film and TV Directing from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade.
